Arsenal's Manager Acknowledges Extended Tenure Depends on Lifting Silverware.
As he approaches his sixth anniversary at the helm, Mikel Arteta has stated plainly that his continued role with the club is directly connected to achieving success.
A Look Back: The Arteta Era
The former Arsenal captain assumed control on December 20th, 2019 and managed to steer the team to an FA Cup triumph not long after. However, that early success stands as his only significant piece of silverware since succeeding Unai Emery.
“I can,” the manager said when questioned about staying beyond 2027. “But it’s about today. And numerous factors have to happen in the next few months as well to deserve that opportunity.”

He finished by saying, “It represents a quality that the Premier League has not witnessed in the past. And we want to achieve greater objectives. And if we do that, I think we are on the correct trajectory to winning.”
