19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev won his first trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging year, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and finally splitting with long-term coach his previous coach.
Now working with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the recent weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his maiden trophy after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after that period of the previous year.
Success also indicates he has won 21 victories at twenty-one various competitions.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my children together, so to win a title is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and frequent reactions on court had prompted some to question if his capacity to perform at the elite level was over.
However the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the final five games to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional championship, took control to force a final set.
Moutet saved four early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, Medvedev secured the title with a shot at the net area, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
